Los Angeles
(Note: I’m actually the worst, because this was drafted in September, and I’m only now publishing this in January. New Year’s Resolution: Do not put off writing and posting.)
This is the part deux of the previous San Diego post. During our trip, we also made the drive up to Los Angeles for a few days. We stayed in the quaintest hidden gem Airbnb. It was a corner lot on a quiet street, guarded by 12-foot tall hedges.
I have been to Disney World (in Orlando, Florida) countless times, but this was my first time going to the park in California. Like the park in Hong Kong (which surprisingly, I have been to), Disneyland California is a one-park campus. This is perfect size park if you’re planning a day trip!
Unlike previous trips to LA, we skipped the whole Hollywood/Beverly Hills/Santa Monica Beach tour this time. Since this entire California trip was super low-key and relaxing, we had lots of time to just talk and explore the city with each other. FYI: Of course, there was no shortage of brunches and bubble tea. :)
On our last night in LA, after pre-dinner drinks at charming Conservatory, we had dinner at Pizzeria Il Fico, an authentic Italian place. We got several appetizers to share, and I got the Tagliatelle e Verdure (vegetables, pesto, and burrata, galore!) Everything was hearty and delicious, and will definitely be coming back again!
