About Me

Hi, I'm Angela. Let's get bubble tea!

I am a 20-something NYU Stern grad, working and playing in New York City. I love matcha, ironic #hashtags, miniature food (real AND fake, but especially fake), home décor & design, escape rooms, and hogging the mic during karaoke.

When I was younger, my notebooks and diaries would be full of short stories, sketches, doodles, and daydreams. I loved using my imagination and creativity to create, design, and explore. As I grew up, those sparks developed into my love to travel, cook, organize, and learn new languages. In college, I studied Finance and International Business, which also fueled my love and appreciation for design, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Although I now work in Finance and I’m meticulous with organization, analytics, and Excel spreadsheets - my affinity for creativity has never waned. Throughout my life, my interests, passions, taste in music, and even my groups of friends have always been so varied and different from one another. I used to be afraid that I would never fit into or find my “thing”, but I’ve learned to carried myself with the attitude that I don’t need to fit myself into any boxes; I could want to “have it all” and there was nothing wrong with that. As long as I’m able, I don’t think I will ever want to stop learning new skills and exploring new hobbies.

For a while now, I've wanted to have a creative outlet documenting my life after college - through the failures, successes, heartaches, joys - and the lessons learned along the way. I was hesitant at first, because I didn't know what I was ready to share. I am at a time in my life (post-grad blues) where I am still striving to find my place and purpose in this big bad world. However, I knew I wanted to create something that would not only grow and evolve with me, but be something I can look back at and be proud of. Encouraged by my recent series binge of Sex & The City, Carrie's honest and unabashed narrative, and the unwavering strength and friendship of the four main characters, I decided to take the leap and just start writing. I don’t know where this will take me, but I can’t wait to find out.
